Students protest, shut down DESOPADEC office over non-payment of three years’ bursary

Students of mandate areas of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), have shutdown activities at the office of the commission in Warri, over non-payment of their three years’ bursary allowances by the Managing Director, Bashorun Askia Ogieh.

The students from Delta State oil-producing communities, accused the commission of owing them three-year arrears of bursary.
