An elder statesman and prominent Ijaw leader, Chief Samson Youkore Mamamu is dead; he reportedly died on Friday morning
The development was however confirmed to GbaramatuVoice by a family member of the Ijaw leader, Chief William Mamamu.
William noted that the elder statesman died “at the ripe age of 91 years”.
He said: “With great gratitude to the Almighty God for a life well spent, we wish to announce the demise of our father, grand father and great grandfather, Chief S.Y Mamamu, at the ripe age of 91 years on Friday, September 10, 2021 in Warri, Delta State.
“He was born on 28th August, 1930.
