BREAKING: KURUTIE IN GBARAMATU KINGDOM WITNESSED DOUBLE INVASION

Sources within Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, particularly Kurutie community have today once again witnessed military invasion.

A source that would not want his name mentioned in print, called from the forest of Kurutie in the Kingdom disclosed to Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper alleged that two Nigerian naval war ships with heavily armed officers stormed the community this morning as residents scamper for safety.

The source however, maintained that the first alleged invasion by the navy lasted for a period not more than 30 minutes as they were stoutly resisted by protesting women of the community.

Speaking further, he narrated that after the first invasion with the alleged two war ships, just moments when residents where returning from their hideouts, another dangerously armed gun boat was also alleged to have briefly invaded the said community, an operation that was reported to have lasted for not more than 10 minutes.

“It is important to pinpoint at this juncture that in all of these unwarranted invasions, no arrests have been recorded so far or casualties, but the fact remains that we have been mentally, physically and psychologically tortured by the constant invasion of our community and Kingdom, for God sake, what have we done to warrant all these? This lawlessness must stop ” The source stated.

Meanwhile Gbaramatu Kingdom have in recent times following renewed militancy in the Niger Delta region come under a heavy security watch by the Nigerian military.
