BREAKING: Hundreds of protesters storm Chevron oil facility, shutdown flowstation over oil spillage in Delta

Hundreds of people from oil rich Kokodiagbene Community in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area is currently staging a peaceful protest at Otuana Flowstation following the massive oil spill reported from Chevron’s 16′ Makaraba-Utunana-Abiteye trunk line.

The protesters, comprising fishermen, youths, women and farmers affected by the spill, carried placards, demanding for Chevron to stop further operation in the area, send relief materials to all affected communities, clean the environment and JIV of all parties to access the degree of damage and compensation to be paid accordingly.
