Delta Ijaw Traditional Rulers are currently meeting with His Royal Majesty, Obi (Professor) Chike Edozien, the Asagba of Asaba at his palace in Asaba, ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.
The meeting is currently ongoing. It will be recalled the Delta Ijaw traditional rulers, on Wednesday, January 2, 2022, met with Delta North Traditional Rulers at the Obi of Owa palace in Owa-Oyibu in Ika North-East Local Government Area, to solicit their support to produce the next governor of the state.
