[BREAKING] 17-year-old boy drowns in Gbaramatu Creek

A 17-year-old boy, Stephen Itima, has drowned Wednesday while swimming with friends in Oporoza creek in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The deceased, a Junior Secondary School 2 student of Gbaraun Secondary School, Oporoza, left his grandmother’s home, Wednesday morning in company of his friends.

His apprehensive grandmother had raised the alarm over his absence. A search party conducted round the community, yielded no luck, before a member of the community informed them that they saw some clothes at the bank of the creek.

The body of the deceased was found floating on the Oporoza creek on Thursday morning, at approximately 9:20am.
