BOMBSHELL: I AM NOT AGBINIBO, ERADIRI FIRES BACK

*Says, I prefers to be a genuine general than be an illegal one.

*Blast MEND

WARRI -President general of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), the umbrella body covering all Ijaws worldwide Engr. Udengs Eradiri have today lambasted reports that he is the spokesperson of the Niger Delta Avengers as he alleged that he is not Mudoch Agbinibo.

Speaking to Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper, the IYC boss while reacting to the allegation maintained that he is not surprised at the attack on his personality linking him up as a member of the NDA, he particularly noted that he has been linked severally by enemies of the Niger Delta for his alleged hard positions he has been taking in the face of activities bedevilling the region.

Eradari, reiterated that it has since been his resolve and that of the IYC to pursue the Niger Delta question non violently without resorting to arms and mocked those behind the publication as laughable and rubbish.

“I am not Brig. Gen. Mudoch Agbinibo, spokesperson of the Niger Delta Avengers, if i want to be a general, I rather be a genuine military general and not this type, I have said that the issues of the Niger Delta right from time are yet to be addressed, hence even if its a criminal that is agitating for such issues, I will support it in my own way using the non violent approach”. He stated.

The President observed that the same issues that the Willink Commission, Adaka Boro, Ken sarowiwa and others have fought for are same issues the NDA are agitating for, he alleged that until the root of the issues are addressed, the region will always be mired with one agitation or the other.

Udengs have also blasted the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, by pinpointing that the group have been dead, he questioned the sudden resurrection of it and alleged that the sponsors have failed hence the new antics of using media to announce the splitting of the Niger Delta Avengers.

He however, charged the new splinter group, Reformed Niger Delta Avengers,  RNDV, to come out and stop hiding. The IYC boss further questioned what informed the reform by asking if the issues of the Niger Delta have been addressed and concluded that will thus open a new path of inclusiveness in the Nigerian project. He wonders why the new group have not come out from hiding since they are reformed.

The commanding officer of the Ijaw Youths have also expressed disappointment of the masterminds behind the publication as he described it as shameful to have linked former President Goodluck Jonathan to such pitiable matter. He noted that never a time despite the rampaging Fulani Herdsmen and the scourges of the Boko Haram in the North East, people from the North have come out openly to abuse and accuse any of their former President or leader. He however, frowns at what he described as the prevalent and unmitigated demonization of Jonathan by people of the region.

Meanwhile, the economically dreaded group, Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, have yesterday in a Press Statement signed by its spokesperson self styled Brig. Gen. Mudoch Agbinibo have debunked reports that the group have splinted, alleging that they are intact and not witnessing any division.
