BENIKRUKRU ELECTION: PERE OF GBARAMATU SENDS ROYAL ENVOY, HAILS PEACEFUL POLLS

His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun 11, Aketekpe, Agadagba , the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State have yesterday sends Royal envoy to witness the Benikrukru community election held in his kingdom yesterday.

The Monarch particularly hailed the people of Benikrukru for the peaceful elections, stressing that it was a clear demonstration of peaceful coexistence among the people, he however prayed for its sustenance.

Aketekpe made the call through the duo of High Chiefs Wellington Bobo and Ukulor Isaiah. The Chiefs in an interview with Gbaramatu Voice Newspaper all preaches peace.

“We were sent by his Royal majesty to come and observe the process of the whole programme today. But what we have to say to the people of  Benikrukru Community is that the way we look at them, they are peace loving people, and we know that there will be no problem even in subsequent times. His Majesty his concerned about uninterrupted peace in the Kingdom hence we are here to deliver his message of “peace” he said that he wants total peace from everybody and we are here to preach the word peace to everybody.” Chief Ukulor stated

On his part, High Chief Bobo in a similar manner added “this is a very clear demonstration of peaceful coexistence in Gbaramatu Kingdom. As you can see, you have Itsekeri’s here, the Urhobo’s and of course the Ijaws, this is an Ijaw community and based on that, I believe that it is worth emulating by other communities in the whole of Nigeria.

Speaking of the constitution of the new executives, he remarked that the excos will no doubt work to actualize the wishes of the people in bringing development.

“This new executives have been put in place in a very true manner, we believe that the leadership will work in accordance with the Gbaramatu constitution, this leadership is going to work in accordance with the wishes of the Gbaramatu people, Benikrukru community and His Royal Majesty of the Gbaramatu Kingdom.” Chief Wellington.

Chief Bobo also stated that the Gbaramatu traditional Council of Chiefs where also present to witness the peaceful conduct of the entire exercise.

The event took a different dimension when the Godspower Isaba Cultural dance troupe entertained the audience with their magnificent cultural display.

The event was hugely attended by people from all walks of life, political class, business world, Chiefs, community leaders, youth leaders, security Chiefs, women groups with the host of others.
