The management of Novena University, Ogume, Delta State, has closed down academic session for 2021/2022 on Sunday.

GbaramatuVoice had earlier reported that some students under the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) had protested in the school concerning fake admissions in the school.

The students had lamented that they were offered admission into the school after paying huge sum of money only to discover that the admission granted to them was not genuine as they were to as “unverified students”.

Aggrieved by this, the students under the PAP staged a protested at the school premises and the effort made by the management of the institution to settle the rift proved abortive.

Reacting to this, the school in a statement signed by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ndubeze V, announced the closure of the 2021/2022 academic session on Sunday.

The statement read: “All students by this notice MUST VACATE the University hostels/campus immediately,
But NOT later than 4pm today, Sunday,28/8/22.

“Loitering of any student on and around the campus shall not be tolerated.

“Student must remove ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS and submit their room key/keys to appropriate officers at Dean of Students Affairs Office through their Respective Halls Representative filling which such students will face appropriate sanctions.”
