ALL SET FOR GBARAMATU VOICE THIRD ANNIVERSARY AWARD

All is now set for the GbaramatuVoice third anniversary award/induction into the hall of fame scheduled for Tuesday, September 11th at the prestigious KFT Event Place located near the NNPC Housing Complex off Airport Road, Warri, Delta State.

As you are reading this over 800 beautifully designed invitation cards for the showstopper event have been distributed in major cities of the country to important personalities.

According to the organising committee, the day’s programme will commence with a lecture entitled “Niger Delta Beyond Oil: Searching for Sustainable Development” which will be delivered by Prof. Tosan Harriman, Lecturer, Bayero University, Kano and the Presidential Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Professor Charles Quaker Dokubo while the award and induction ceremony will follow suite.

The proceedings will come to an end with a dinner party. All the events to be held under the distinguished chairmanship of His Excellency, the former governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan are slated to be held at the KFT Centre.

Personalities billed to witness the epoch occasion include top politicians, royal fathers, business gurus, captains of industries and the likes from across the country and even beyond.

Award recipients in the different categories have been duly notified after a painstaking process conducted by members of the organising committee, who because of the sensitive nature of their assignment have requested to be shielded from public glare.

The committee in its wisdom split the awards into eleven categories with twenty-one recipients emerging as the most outstanding out of the over sixty nominees that were given considerations.

Those that eventually emerged as awardees are His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR), the former President of Nigeria; Chief (Dr.) Edwin Kiagbodo Clark (CON), former Federal Commissioner for Information and South South Leader; Pastor Ayodele Joseph Oritsegbubemi Oritsejafor, Founder and Senior Pastor, World of Life Bible Church; Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Founder and Senior Pastor, Salvation Ministries; His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, former governor of Delta State; Chief (Dr.) Wellington Okirika (CON), former chairman, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and Prince Sam Amuka-Pemu, Founder, Vanguard Media Limited (Lifetime Achievement).

The Governor of the Year awardees are His Excellency, Rt. Hon.Seriake Henry Dickson, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State (Infrastructural Development); His Excellency, Barrister Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike (CON), Executive Governor of Rivers State (Grassroots and People Development) and His Excellency, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Executive Governor of Delta State (Peace and Security).

Award recipients in other categories are Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, Executive Director, FENOG Nigeria Limited (Philanthropist); Engineer Augustine Oghenejobo, Chairman, FENOG Nigeria Limited (Businessman); Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh, CEO/MD, KFT Group (Showbiz impresario); Ann-Kio Briggs, Founder/Executive Director, Agape Birthrights (Woman of the year); Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick, President, Nigeria Football Federation(NFF)(Sports Personality); Harrison Tare Okiri (aka Harrysong), CEO, Altar Plate Records(Artiste); Prince Sam Amuka-Pemu, Founder, Vanguard Media Limited (Media Icon); Chief Godspower Gbenekama, Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom (Activist of the year); Dr. Dorry Afe Okojie, CEO/MD, DAF Homes and Estates Limited and Vice-Chairman, Esan Development and Transformation Initiative (EDATI)(Realtor/Philanthropist); Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi, member representing Burutu Constituency in the House of Representatives (Youth Development) and Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro, member representing Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The awardees, apart from been given certificates of recognition, will also go home with well-crafted plaques among others.
