10 year old lass delivers moving tribute to Tompolo on his 47th birthday

In a moving birthday tribute, that draws tears from those who read it, a 10 year old girl from Delta State, in the heart of the Niger Delta, epitomizes the virtues of the ex-freedom fighter that is regarded as a hero of his people.

The girl, Merylynn Pondi aptly reflected the feelings of the people of the region as she wished her uncle well on his 47th birthday, while also enthusing the virtues that endear people to the community leader.

Merylynn, a niece of the ”angel” of his community, draws the emotions that she felt, but which actually mirror that of the older generations in the land, as she spoke about the void been felt by the absence of the generous businessman-philanthropist per excellence.

She tags it; ”Birthday wishes to my Grand Uncle”

Wow! It’s another year. Happy birthday to my Grand Uncle.

You are a figure that must be recognized in the whole wide world. Having you as my Grand Uncle gives me so much joy and fulfillment. You are just that one person I like talking about; you have brought so many good things to the Ijaw Nation. Having you as my Grand Uncle has taught me that life is all about tolerance and hard work.

As you celebrate your 47th year birthday today, I pray that Jehovah God will grant you all the best things in life. Your wisdom will grow as that of Solomon and in good health shall you live. All the people that want to see your down fall will go down right before your own eyes.

On behalf of Chief and Mrs. Kestin Pondi family, we celebrate you 100 percent.

Happy birthday once again to my Grand Uncle, High Chief, Government Ekpemupolo aka The Lion of Ijaw Nation.

From your little Grand child

Merylynn Pondi
