21 year old emerges Benikrukru Carnival Queen

…Beats 10 other contestants

A 21 year old, Kokodiagbene born, Miss Progress Bigha, has emerged the Benikrukru Carnival Queen 2021/22 and went home with a star prize of N200,000, tablet and other gift items.

The 100 level student of the department of International studies and diplomacy, came victorious Saturday, December 25th out of the 10 other contestants in a keenly contested beauty pageant in Benikrukru Town, Gbaramatu kingdom.

Runners-up included Miss Blessing Erete from Oporoza, who went home with a cash prize of 150,000 and Miss Miracle Konyefa, from Benikrukru, who came second runner-up and was awarded a cash prize of 100,000.

The Winner, Miss Progress Bigha with 1st & 2nd runners-up, Miss Blessing Erete and Miss Miracle Konyefa. 

Apart from the winners, all the contestants received N70,000 each as educational support from the Esther Matthew Tonlagha Foundation (EMTF) and other gift items.

Speaking, Founder of Esther Matthew Tonlagha Foundation (EMTF), Mrs. Esther Tonlagha, stated that the pageant is to promote the girl child by boosting their self confidence in the society, hence, the yearly event.
