The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has stated that the SDP government if victorious in the 2023 poll will provide two million jobs for Nigerians.

The SDP presidential flagbearer was represented by his running mate, Engr.Yusuf Salisu Buhari, who lamented that despite the discovery of oil, the Niger-Delta region still wallows in poverty lamenting that for so long the country has failed to diversify the economy from oil and the SDP will create 2 million jobs.

Adebayo said: “My principal numerous times has stated how the SDP can create two million jobs. He has already started discussing with partners around the world how he is going to accomplish this, in energy, in the Inland waterways; he talked about creating ports across the Niger-Delta riverine areas.

“Since Independence and in particularly our democracy, policy-making, and successive administration have only managed the short-term crisis. Why can we be the largest oil producer of an entire continent and yet fail to diversify? And that is why there is a need to get a generational shift as Nigerians cannot afford to keep on electing the same people and expect a different result at the end of the day. It just doesn’t work.”

He also lamented concerning the issues of the Niger Delta, the SDP presidential candidate listed them to include oil theft, oil spillage as well as environmental degradation.

He congratulated GbaramatuVoice for the milestone and he urged Nigerians to make the right choice while voting for the next presidential candidate come 2023 as the choice they will make will affect them adversely.
