2023: Ovie Omo-Agege is next Delta Governor, APC declares

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has declared that the party would produce the next Governor of the state which is the person of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, describing Fred Latimore, the Executive Assistant to Governor Okowa on Communication as a man deserving of mental evaluation and should not be taken seriously.

In a statement signed on Monday by Mr Pius Ituru of the Directorate of Media and Publicity, APC Delta State, the party noted that the statement credited to Chief Fred Latimore in which he said Omo-Agege can never be governor only exposed him as a man of unstable character, adding that the PDP was collapsing in Delta State hence the face-saving efforts through the latest rally in Sapele.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress APC, Delta state chapter has been drawn to a publication with the subject matter “DELTA 2023: WHY DSP OMO AGEGE WILL NOT BE GOVERNOR” published 19th October 2021, by one Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, a politically unstable aide of the outgoing governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

“It would not have been necessary to respond to such petty media ranting of a politically unstable media hawk whose characteristic modus operandi is driven by stomach infrastructure rather than seeking the common good of all Deltans.

“However, it has become necessary to ensure that political media charlatans like Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe and his underperforming paymaster, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, together with their failed PDP government in Delta state do not succeed in manipulating the minds of Deltans in order to distract the people of the State from the gross criminal misgovernance of Delta State and the impending implosion that is imminent in a party that has failed to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the ordinary people of the state.

“Fred Latimore’s misguided vituperation is laced with so many self-contradictions and delusions which are concomitant with cerebral deficient authors of his like, which amply qualifies him for admission into any of the mental health institutions for psychiatric evaluation.

“First, Fred Latimore, who it seems now has a bout of amnesia, claimed that APC only exists on social media, as his memory failed to recall that, despite PDP acclaimed massive grassroot structures, the APC massively defeated the PDP in Delta Central to claim the Senatorial seat where PDP media charlatans like Fred Latimore hails from.

“It is noteworthy that the APC’s emphatic victory was not only that of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege but also included a Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats respectively.

“Secondly, it is also laughable that Fred Latimore could insinuate that the APC has no social contract with Deltans. This is the height of ignorance from a supposed learned personality. It wouldn’t have been of any concern to us if an uneducated person had claimed such, but not the likes of Fred Latimore, who parades several certificates without a show of common sense. It is either he is ignorant of the concept of social contract or he deliberately chose to misuse or misapply it with the intention of deluding his unsuspecting readers.

“It is now necessary for the masses to know that in the negation of the essential elements of the social contract, it is the governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s PDP led government that has reneged on its duties and obligations it owes the people of Delta state through its substantially insensitive, anti-people maladministration in the provision of the dividends of democracy by the persistent failure in facilitating the infrastructural development of the State.

“It has been a deliberate policy of the Okowa administration to impoverish and dehumanize the people of Delta State as a reward for voting them into office’’, the APC said.

The Delta APC added further that ‘’the greater part of the realization and disenchantment of Deltans with the inhuman and anti-people government of the PDP, led by the purposeless Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, is as a result of the sterling service delivery performances of the Deputy Senate President, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the Obarisi of Urhobo land.

“This explains why Deltans are now clamouring for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to come and liberate the state from the evil claws of the PDP. The Okowa led PDP tyrannical and systemic underdevelopment of our dear state is now on the precipice of eventual collapse into the self-created abyss that will herald the liberation of Deltans from the shackles of modern-day slavery.

‘’Their present fear of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was aptly echoed in the words of Fred Latimore as he wrote, “he is very crafty, dogged, stubborn and can be very brutal in every means possible to attain his political ambition”. Even though his intent was to paint a negative perception about the DSP, yet he has unwittingly declared to the whole world and Deltans in particular, that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is an unstoppable force of nature, ordained by God to bring an end to the calamitous PDP led government of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. Indeed, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is our next governor.

“Finally, while Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and his cacophonic crew may continue in their frenzied, euphoric dances, coupled with schizophrenic and hallucinating daydreaming with vainglorious predictions about APC supposed disunity until the APC and the Senator Ovie Omo-Agege tsunami sweep them out the Dennis Osadebey government house, the irresistible conclusion to be drawn from this shoddy attempt to disparage the high flying profile of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege by Fred Latimore, is that of a man now suffering from a chronic case of manic depression who has now come to the melancholic reality that the game is over as the impending defeat of PDP fast approaches”, the party added.
