GbaramatuVoice learnt that Engr. Olaye, the renowned Niger Delta Activist noted in his endorsement statement that not withstanding the fact that all the governorship aspirants are eminently qualified, His Excellency, Dcn. Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, the current Deputy Governor, stands out as the best candidate for Delta governor come 2023.

According to him, if Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro is given the opportunity to take over the mantle of leadership, it will be easier for him to continue seamlessly and consolidate on the SMART Agenda and the Stronger Delta Vision of the incumbent, Governor Okowa.

Engr. Olaye, who appreciated Governnor Okowa for his unassailable developmental strides, said: “Barrister Kingsley Otuaro has been one of the most loyal Deputy Governors Nigeria has ever had, and he has won several awards as a loyal and successful Deputy to Okowa, unlike other states that have repeated cases of fracas between the governors and their deputies which resulted to impeachment

in their first tenure, while some governors, on account of insorburdination, dropped their deputy governors during the second tenure race.”

Speaking further on the suitability of Otuaro, Engr. Olaye said: “There are a lot of examples whereby the deputy governors were impeached in the first tenure, and some were dropped in the second tenure due to insorbudination, while some others were power drunk and desperate to pursue inordinate ambition, others decamped to other political parties to contest against their principal in a wild goose chase to become governor by all means possible, as it occurred in Kogi , Zamfara, Ondo, Bayelsa states, etc.

Olaye explained that Dcn. Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, having been a very faithful and successful follower, he can be trusted to consolidate on the laudable achievements of the “Road Master Governor aka Ekwueme of the Universe.”

Olaye maintained in his speech that Otuaro, as a serving deputy governor with immunity, will be in a better position to fly the PDP flag and stand against every opposition and blackmail that is associated with politics in the state that can be used as propaganda, blackmail against the PDP flag bearer, knowing fully well that they cannot face PDP in a free and fair election in Delta State.

Continuing, he said: “Allowing Otuaro to fly the PDP flag will eliminate or check ordous situations like blackmail, propanganda or threats from EFCC and lCPC which will not be able to deter the party, the campaign process, or the main elections because of the pedigree and credibility of the deputy governor who has already proven his mettle as a man above board without any skeleton in his cupboard.”

He posited that, on the contrary, some of the PDP governorship aspirants on parade, if given the opportunity to fly the party flag, they may not be able to survive the propangada, the blackmail or threats from investigation and interrogation from EFCC and lCPC and other related agencies which is capable of distracting the PDP followers in the forth coming Delta guber race.

He added: “Otuaro should be considered as the most preferred aspirant because he is best suited to face those ready to throw caution to the wind, and display the bragadaccio kind of opposition in their ill-motivated quest for Delta state governorship come 2023.”

Speaking on a compassionate note he said: “I sincerely appeal to the leaders across board in the state and at the national level to consider Otuaro as their preferred aspirant because he is a detribalised leader who can be trusted to deliver the dividends of democracy to the door step of all Deltans.”

Engr. Olaye, in the same vein, appealed to all the delegates to understand the reason why they should wisely cast their votes for Otuaro who is implicitly loyal to the party and Governor Okowa without any form of bickering all through the first and second tenures of the Okowa led administration.

ln summation, Engr. Olaye emphasized that a vote for Otuaro is a guarantee for a better Delta state where the interest of youths, women, artisans, physically challenged , the old and other relevant stakeholders will be protected to produce a Stronger Delta in line with the vision of the Okowa led administration in a seamless continuity of the phase two of the SMART Agenda to the glory of God.
