2019: Royal Fathers Pray For Peace In Niger Delta

By Shina Badmus

In their quest to seek sustainable peace as well as to thank God for their reign, some traditional rulers in Delta state on Sunday stormed the Shammah Divine Zion Ministry International, a pentecostal church in Warri, at its ‘Royal Thanksgiving’ service to pray for peace in the region as the 2019 election draws near.

The thanksgiving service with theme; ‘Royal Majesty As Had Not Been On Any King Before’ was led by the Host, Senior Pastor (Dr.) Simeon Andafa (JP) with scripture reading taken from 1st Chronicles 29:25.

The royal fathers in attendance were; HRM Elder (Capt.) Joseph Timiyan, Pere of Ogulagha Kingdom; HRM Gold Oro Teimo, Pere of Egbema Kingdom; HRM Luke-Kalanama VIII, Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom; HRM Capt. Samuel Evah, Pere of Oporomor Kingdom and HRM Bosu Dio, Pere of Iduwini Kingdom; with some of their council of elders.

While delivering his sermon at the thanksgiving service, the guest speaker, Pastor Edwin Biayeibo, Senior Pastor, House On The Rock, The Word House, Enugu, emphasized that the secrets to a lasting and solid kingdom, family, company and nation, is one that is built on righteousness and justice.

“The better Nigeria we all desire can only be if the commemorates of leaders and citizens in Nigeria from different orientations learn to always do the right thing (righteousness) and punish offenders (justice) irrespective of the tribe, religion, social background or political affiliations,” he said.

Meanwhile, the host, Pastor Andafa, in his closing remark thanked the Royal Fathers and their council of elders for honoring him with their presence and commended them for their “dedication and love for the things of God and also for the great show of love amongst yourselves.”

He further pleaded that, “this love should continue, as it is the greatest weapon for continuous peace in the Niger Delta region and beyond.”

On the 2019 general elections, Andafa advised electorates to vote for credible candidates of their choice without selling their votes, as that would amount to selling out their potential comfort and peace.
